The Walking Dead: Inmates

Who have been feeding the walkers with rats? This is the question that’s been itching viewers since the start of season four. From the episode ‘Inmates,’ I want to point the finger to Lizzie. “OMG, not that sweet, innocent girl Lizzie!” you may say, but all evidence leads to her. We see corpses of rabbits and most shocking, we witness Judith who is being suffocated by Lizzie’s hand to keep her from crying in the middle of walker forest. Good thing Tyreese was there to prevent Judith from dying. Oops, he was helping stragglers fend off against walkers. Thank Carol she arrived just in time to rescue the three girls!

Obviously she just watched the Gov and Rick’s battle in the sidelines as she told Tyreese. The five arrive at a sign that offers sanctuary to the survivors. They are happy and travel onwards.

Now that Carol is here, how will things play out between her and Tyreese? Afterall, wasn’t it Carol who killed T’s love? –Or was it Lizzie? T is bleeding on his arm like T-Dog did in season two. Will T be in a more grave state than his predecessor? Will Carol kill T? Will Lizzie kill T? Will Judith kill T?

Maggie is in Rambo state as she is preparing to head out searching for her love. Sasha bandages Bob’s wound up and objects to Maggie’s rescue efforts. Bob insists that they—he and Sasha—will both help Maggie. When the bus is found, the living inside have all turned to walkers. Sasha and Bob opens the door one-by-one so Maggie can check if Glenn is not inside. After successful knife-in-the-head sequences, Maggie enters the bus and is attacked by a walker appearing to be Glenn. She puts him down and turns the body. To everyone’s amazement—both Sasha and Bob and the viewers—Glenn it is NOT!

Will Sasha and Bob be a couple?

Daryl and Beth are running. All they do is run and Beth has had enough. She demands that they go looking for the others. Daryl has lost hope by his now recluse nature. Beth heads out alone, knife in hand, and Daryl has no other option than to join her. They come across their group who have escaped the prison—all mauled by walkers.

Beth sobs. Daryl is turning slowly into the season one Daryl.

Meantime, poor Glenn is still at the prison. He has been at the prison this whole time—exactly at the bridge that connects to two prison buildings which was blown up by the tank. I can say that Glenn became unconscious from the blow. He wakes up with an army of walkers below him. He sees he has the whole prison to himself. He gathers his belongings including the watch he received from Hershel and the photo he took of Maggie in ‘Infected,’ and his SWAT armor. He pretends to be in the NFL as he tackles and rams through the clusters of walkers! On his way out he sees Tara sitting alone behind a fence enclosure in a depressing stature. I don’t think she knows what had happened to her niece, and her sister, Lily, was surrounded by walkers the last moment she saw her. He learns that Hershel had died. Glenn doesn’t care that Tara took part in the raid. All he wants is to reunite with his wife and he demands Tara’s help as a way to make up for all the misfortunes. Walkers approach the two and Glenn beams off to take care of business. He succumbs to his wounds in the middle of the fight and faints until Tara joins.

WFL Walker Football League
A heavy army vehicle arrives. Tara shouts “I hope you enjoyed the show, assholes.” The three exit the vehicle and the leader says “You got a damn mouth on you, you know that? What else you got?”
The apocalypse has never looked this ’80s stylish!

Glenn displayed his valuable assests to these strangers. Will Glenn be seen as a “warrior” to them and be given a spot to join their “army” unlike in Rick’s group where he was seen more of a valuable tool rather than the fighting type? If so, how will Rick, even his wife, react to this news?

  1. Haha! Funny one Philip! Loved the “Will Judith kill T?” Lolz. You were pretty funny in this review, I giggled nonstop. Do you also watch “The Talking Dead” after the show? It’s such a cool show, AB and I love it. The whole “In Memory” to the Walkers that died in the show is one of my favorite parts. 😀

    1. I have a feeling I know what ‘In Memory’ is about, lol. Sunday’s episode was very thrilling. Loved the whole ‘got to get out of this house undetected and QUICK’ Rick. I would like nothing more to see more thrills like this. You?

      1. In Memory. Hm. Of Mika? Lolz. Or whatever her name is (Lizzy’s sister). So, T will die, I presume. According to the loosely based show on the comics. Yeah, I sure did like the suspensefulness of the episode. I think Rick got his “mojo” back and finally has the spine to do what he’s good at. I didn’t think he was going to get out that easy. But the guy DID see him! I don’t think he died..I think he just passed out. Will Rick run into him in the future?

Here is my take on Michonne. I think Michonne was in the army before and she “knew” why the outbreak happened. She figured out why this all happened. If she knows, what is her goal? Just to survive? Maybe because she doesn’t know there are others who are heading to DC to stop this. It has me thinking… Was she part of a secret team? What are your opinions on this? By the way. I’ve been watching Sherlock lately. I LOVE that show!! It’s right up there with TWD. It’s a fun, intelligent and funny show. AB loves it!

    2. Carol–I think she’ll likely keep Judith and tell her she’s her mom. You know, ‘The Hand that Rocks the Cradle,’ lol. She’ll refuse to return Judith to Rick when Tyreese brings it up, then he’ll get cut by Carol? That bed hiding scene was amazing! Rick was really scared and he portrayed that very well. The leader is the guy who sat in the porch eating the expired can of peaches–I vaguely recall him as a villain in another movie. This Hunter group is a bunch of crazies. That guy just walked in the room and demanded the bed the leader was sleeping on, then the two fight–over a bed! Have a feeling Carl will kill Lizzie.

Maybe Michonne was in the army, good point Cid. Maybe she went rogue for a good reason? You keep up with the comics? I often read the Wiki. SPOILER ALERT That being said, there is no cure in DC. Eugene just made that up, and Abraham, albeit he looks strong and has the ‘Daryl’ persona, isn’t really smart, lol. Milton kind of resembles Eugene.

I watch Sherlock on-and-off. Wish I had paid more attention to it. Glad you all like it. How about the US version Elementary? Game of Thrones Season 3 is out finally on iTunes!

      1. Guess what I bought today from Walmart????!!!! The Walking Dead Compenium One book! It’s so thick! This is very exciting for me, for realz! Lol!
