Just watched The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and the beautiful Emma Stone. I’ve put off any interest of the remake because the original series with Tobey Maguire had me at it. Well, I blame you, yes you, boredom for making me endure the 2 hour 20 minutes of amazement. I find this fortunate remake to be more focused and direct and less of comedic breaks in the predecessor which felt like frequent red lights in the flow. Anyway, the true purpose of writing this is the ending: Peter Parker breaking his promise to Gwen’s dying dad that he would keep her out of his dangerous career. I had trouble registering this in and now I’m seeing ‘The Amazing Pants On Fire Spider-Man’ title.
BTW, loved the Coldplay scene!
